The glamorous and stylish Kareena Kapoor let go of makeup and and decided to be simple for the cover of the latest issue of People magazine. The actress says simplicity is what she truly believes in."Beauty lies in being simple and natural and this is what I believe in. This is the real me. I believe in being natural and People's cover has given me this opportunity," Kareena told reporters on the sidelines of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards.This is Kareena's second time on the cover of People's magazine. In 2008 also she appeared on the magazine's cover but with heavy make-up that showed through her close-ups published in the magazine.But she is happy with the nude look this time."When they came to me with the concept and said they wanted to do the 'India's most beautiful' issue, I was up for it. It is ironical that the international version of the same issue features Julia Roberts on the cover," she said.Kareena, who featured in a de-glam avatar in her debut film Refugee (2000), says the chance to go for a no make-up look in Bollywood depends completely upon roles."I think a lot of it depends on roles - if it demands you to be glamorous, you be so," said the actress who avoided make-up for her roles in Dev and Chameli.The actress performed with beau Saif Ali Khan at the IIFA awards event Saturday night.The duo will soon fly to Morocco to shoot for the second schedule of Saif's home production Agent Vinod.She may be the face of many cosmetic brands but Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor says she looks best sans make-up.The actress, who will next be seen with ex-beau Shahid Kapoor in long-delayed Milenge Milenge, will feature on the cover of People Magazine's 'India's Most Beautiful' issue without make-up."Beauty lies in naturalness and not in fake eyelashes and coloured lipsticks," Kareena told reporters at the launch of the magazine at the IIFA Weekend.The 30-year-old star who looked beautiful in a peach coloured dress said she has never been a "make up person"."Feeling happy goes hand in hand with looking good. Being stressed and unhappy affects hair, skin and eyes. To be well turned out, you have to be in a happy mood," she said.Kareena attributed her flawless skin to being a vegetarian."I believe that 'you are what you eat' which is why I don't eat meat. Your stomach is not a grave yard. I gave up meat five years ago and I can feel the difference. My skin is glowing and I drink 10 glasses of water every day," she said.Apart from Kareena, Twinkle Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Asin and Genelia also feature in the issue.
